Greenpeace is a movement of people who are passionate about defending the natural world. Our vision is a greener, healthier and more peaceful planet that can sustain life for generations to come. 

One of the ways we demand social and political change is by taking nonviolent direct action (when it’s safe to do so). Throughout our fifty year history we’ve found that when ordinary people do extraordinary things, real change happens. Here are some highlights:
